USA AND BRITAIN should send their forces and aircraft carrier to fight against Chinese aggression in Hong Kong...All the south Asian countries should support the Hong Kong protesters again Chinese and help them in their fight...Hong Kong and Taiwan are independent region having their own system in place. China just want to impose itself on them with the help of its Armed forces. Not limited to Hong Kong and Taiwan China is trying to interfere and capture the land of close to 15 south Asian counties including Japan, South Korea, Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, India, Myanmar.. I urge all the world countries to be united and fight against Chinese aggression..

PROTESTORS HAVE NO RIGHTS TO BLOCK ANY FLIGHTS AT ALL
WHEN PROTESTORS HOLD SOMEONE HOSTSGE THAT IS TERRORISM
WHEN YOU ATTACK AUSTRALIANS AND OTHER FOREIGN PEOPLE THEN AGAIN YOU ARE WRONG.
YOU SAY YOUR'E FIGHTING FOR YOUR RIGHTS
BUT WHAT ABOUT THE RIGHTS OF FOREIGNERS WHO NEED TO RETURN TO THERE LOVED ONES.
    ANSWER THAT.
PROTESTORS ARE OUT OF HAND AND ARE WRONG IN WHAT THEY ARE DOING.
ONE PREGNANT WOMAN WAS HURT IN AMONGST THE VIOLENT PROTEST .
YES POLICE ARE WRONG IN THE WAY THEY TREATED A YOUNG HONG KONG GIRL BY HAND CUFFING HER AND TREATING HER LIKE A DOG.
YES YPUR GOVERNMENT IS WRONG FOR BRINGING IN THE BILL..
I HAVE EVERY RIGHT TO COMMENT AFTER SEEING YOU TUBE VIDEOS OF YOUR VIOLENT RALLY
FOR EXAMPLE THROWING PETROL BOMBS AT THE POLICE.
    I SEE THE
GOVERNMENT AND PROTESTORS ARE BOTH WRONG.

If I was quizzed to name a few rights violations, the following atrocities would ring a bell.
2019 August, Hong Kong airport rioters tortured Chinese journalist.
1916.5.15 Waco Texas white mob lynched a 17 year old black
March 2003 US Army and CIA personnels violated human rights against detainees in the Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq.
Instead of relying on karma these airport thugs so deserved, they should be banished to enjoy their freedom on a desert island and never to be returned.
These Hong Kong thugs for democracy were offered the legal right to protest, but these thugs illegally torture others who disagree with their actions.
Voltaire's quote should be rewritten. I disapprove of what you say, but I will fight to the death to destroy your right to say it
The democracy these things are menacing for doesn't exist, at least not in the UK and US the national flags they been brandishing.

The best way to temporarily end protest is for carrie lam to make meaningful dialogue with protesters.. which until now she won’t. Protesters were forced to be violent, to force gvnt to listen.

  • Eva Lee
    Eva Lee 5 天 前 +7

The protesters say they're fighting for "freedom and democracy" yet they won't allow another opinion when it goes against them. Try disagree with them, on social media they will cyber bully you, on the street they will tie you up and beat you up. I fear them way more than the police, they're a bunch of hypocrites to have called themselves peaceful.

It is common sense that an effective way to deter bad behavior is punishment. In Hong Kong, we now have a situation that most of the violence offenders will be released soon after they are arrested. Why? Most Hong Kong judges are on rioters’ side because most of them are British-trained or with British citizenship. See who are on the Hong Kong Court of Final Appeal! No wonder, the riot party in Hong Kong keeps rolling!

@朱旭东 The colonial education taught the middle class to aspire to western value. After 50+ year living in the West, I returned to bond with my roots. I am dismayed at the HK's one-dimensional view of the world. They don't even understand the capitalism engine does not contribute to the betterment of humankind. I would like to hand out American underwear to the demonstrators. HK is being laughed at by the former British colonies. It is US agenda to destablise Asia for its economic gains. .

I suggested you check CGTN channels for a closer look on this so-called "peaceful" protest in most of the Western media. And try to imagine what would had happened to them if they were in your country. Now, they are like taking travelers as hostages, and another 2 travelers were seriously injured last night, just because they probably speak Mandarin, hundred of rioters attacked them. They throw molotov cocktails to police and random vehicles. Please go check it, they are not fighting for freedom and democracy, because Hong Kong people enjoy much more ' freedom', than you. And they can vote too. So please check CGTN. We all want the world to know, what is actually happening in HK

I am so sad about the cyber bully happening in the comments of the trailer of the movie called Mulan produced by Disney. I try to mention the violence happening in the comments. But I don’t believe people gonna notice that. And I am afraid that my account gonna be reported somehow by these youngest.

They have way more freedom than we all have, do you think it can even happen in your country? At least, I know it is almost impossible to happen in Canada. They are asking for independence, nothing more, but they are hijacking whole Hong Kong for it.

Hong Kong people want to seek transparency in the rule of law and freedom of human rights. There is nothing wrong with it. But the way is wrong. It should not be rioted. The influential leaders of the Legislative Council should be elected to defend Hong Kong's one country, two systems legislation. Hong Kong is Hong Kong's Hong Kong, but it is its own. Infighting can not solve the problem, and waving the British American flag, which gives the Communist Party an excuse

@Mimi T yes democracy, freedom, and human rights are all slogans. It is the new religion in 21sr century. Problem is people believe this nonsense. What freedom and human rights these rioters embracing? They are forcing the majority of HK people to follow them. Is this even democracy? People from western world only see fake news by western media.

(IN CHINA)...According to the National Flag and National Emblem Ordinance: A person who desecrates the national flag or national emblem by publicly and willfully burning, mutilating, scrawling on, defiling or trampling on it commits an offense and is liable on conviction to a fine at level 5 and to imprisonment for 3 years.....Have you EVER heard of such nonsense? ONLY CHINA could come up with an ordinance such as this! Only under a vile, despicable, corrupt, controlling, totalitarian government that is the CCP in China could this ever happen. Flag burning has been a world wide phenomenon when a people are at their wits end with a corrupt government. It’s their way of showing total disgust of the oppressive government in power. As there are hundreds of thousands of Chinese all over the world who are angry at the CCP for all of their actions of late, it would only seem appropriate that they burn the Chinese national flag to show their level of animosity and contempt towards the corrupt government.

@Ken Tran "犯我中华者虽远必诛" is not a threatening statement. It is how Chinese reacts. As long as it is not our territory we don't bother. HK is part of China.
I don't want to dicuss CQ88 with you because we hold different viewpoint. The whole history of it is lengthy as it links to nam war and USSR. Regardless we also hope to have better relationships with Vietnam despite political belief.

    • Ken Leong
      Ken Leong 6 天 前

@Ken Tran that incident was territory dispute. Depends which angle you look at it, China does have rights to claim it. Since this is dispute I won't discuss it. I still hold on to my belief that the sentiment with China is majority friendly here in SEA as I observe.
I don't stop you from hating and dislike CCP. I don't love them anyway, I just believe it is working for Chinese well now, at least for now and look like it going to work for longer time too.

    • Ken Tran
      Ken Tran 6 天 前

@Ken Leong My man you're not going straight lie to me about "no anti china sentiment here in SEA". The Nine-dash line incident was big back in 2016, and there was almost anti-chinese movement happens everywhere in SEA region. Having family and friends still living in SEA, I can confirm there're still a lot of conflicts between Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia... and even East-Asian countries like Japan and Korea. And if you tell me everything I read about China involved political situation are all fake news, what am I suppose to read? Heavily controlled news outlet under beijing goverment? You know what, maybe I just dislike the Chinese government as much as you love them, so not like we can come up with an agreement just by arguments through the internet. And because everybody has the right to speak out their mind, it's totally fine for you, me, or any other person to express their own opinions. But threatening ain't going to do anything. "犯我中华者虽远必诛". We are not, and we will not forget such things like the Sino-Chinese war or the CQ-88 conflict, but even that we still trying to normalize the Vietnam-China relationship. Of course, you're just gonna tell me that there were right reasons for China to do such things, but what the U.S did is pure evil, and anything bad I heard about the CCP are just fake news. Seriously, this conversation is going nowhere. Peace.

@Ken Tran I missed the US example point given by you.
HK is China territory. Even the majority of a state or city want to declare independence from a country. Let's say that is what happening. Do you think US will allow califonia to get its independent?
So you expect us to accept the rioters who are funded and brainwashed by separatists? The whole anti extradition fiasco is just anti China movement from beginning.
For universal suffrage part I would like to add this. HK will get this if article 23 is finalised. There is no time table for this because it is conditional. Like any democracy system not all posts are voted. Even US president is not voted in by one person one vote. It goes through the electoral college. If you are so noble in supporting democracy system and wish to see universal suffrage to happen then please help to promote article 23 legalisation process first. I also support universal suffrage if it don't jeopardise Chinese unity.

@Ken Tran you are lucky to talk to a right person here. I am from SEA and HK is my second home as my in law family is there.
Firstly there is no anti china sentiment here in SEA. I can't speak for Africa but I met some African they seem very friendly to me when they asked me 'are you Chinese' .
Talking about majority. I believe you are igrnoing the majority of Chinese free will. That include most HK people who just want a peaceful environment and 1.4b mainland Chinese with 50m oversea Chinese like me. Our freewill is US and any other western influence get out of HK. Same here in SEA, we already rejected US influence and interference.
Normally I don't bother to comment on Internet but this time I just can't ignore the fact that there is so much fake news and ignorance people who trying to interfere our internal affair. The majority of the rioters are around 20 and some are below 20 don't even have rights to vote.
Let me assure you xin jiang is not what you read on fake news. And HK is not as important to china as many people think. It is a just experience for one country two systems. The worst it gets only prove the system is not working. It will be only used to determine the future of Taiwan. Whether one system or two when reunification takes place.
Lastly you can keep your options and supports to minority of HK people. But it is Chinese culture that we only mind our own business. That is why we never bother your internal affairs and remember this.
      犯我中华者虽远必诛
